Kate Kahn holds more than 20 years of experience in PR and journalism. She specializes in overseeing and implementing public affairs campaigns to raise awareness on policy issues, to advance ideas, and to influence policy makers and key opinion leaders through targeted media placement across multiple platforms.
Kate won seven regional Emmy Awards and one national Emmy Honor Award during her time as Executive Producer for Special Projects and Senior Investigative & Political Producer at WHDH-TV 7 in Boston. She has extensive producing experience in local, national and international broadcasting including special events, election coverage, sporting events, and investigative reporting. She has also worked in the newsroom for network television affiliates in Knoxville, Tennessee and Minneapolis.
Kate teaches broadcast and multimedia news reporting and production to both graduate and undergraduate students at the College of Communications at Boston University. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Tufts University and a Master’s Degree from the University of Missouri School of Journalism.
